Membership fees
International dues are set by World Bank country tier. Nigeria and Ghana publish their own schedules in local currency, and groups, organisations and institutions each have dues of their own.

Student memberships are designed for undergraduate and graduate students. We provide the discounted student memberships to encourage graduate students, in particular, to become involved with the Association early.

Institutional Member
These are intended for institutions like universities, colleges, research institute and associations, think-tanks and departments. Please note that institutional membership applies only to the institution, it does not confer an IARSA membership on individual members of the institution.

Corporate membership is available for: Companies, Commissions, Corporations, Government Ministries, Bureaus, Non-Governmental Organizations, Public Agencies and Donor Banks.
Individuals
Individual IARSA membership
IARSA membership is for individual members and is valid for the current calendar year (Jan 1 to Dec 31). Membership dues paid on or after October 1 count towards the membership for the next calendar year.
We are also pleased to introduce new multi-year renewal options for members worldwide. Memberships may now be renewed for 1, 2, or 3 years, with fees calculated as a straightforward multiple of the annual rate.

Regional
Regional Chapter Membership
IARSA Regional Chapters are semi-independent regional units established to promote IARSA’s mission, organizational aims and values, as well as foster scientific exchange at a local level. The Regional Chapters are important part of IARSA’s organizational structure offering training, mentorship, and resources to students and early-, mid-, and late-career researchers, empowering the next generation of scholars to succeed and lead, and promoting the work of scholars from underrepresented regions, ensuring their research contributes to global conversations and advances the broader academic community. The chapters also create local scholarly communities that foster collaboration, mutual support, and the exchange of ideas, and ensuring researchers can connect and thrive no matter their location.
IARSA members have the option of joining one or more regional chapters when renewing their membership. Regional Chapter members elected their Chapter leadership and have a possibility to run themselves for an office. Regional Chapters hold regional conferences at different intervals. These conferences are unique opportunities to obtain a deeper insight into the situation of public opinion research in that part of the world, whether from the perspective of substantive findings, methodology, rules for reporting public opinion research results or from other angles.
Objectives of Regional Chapters Membership
- Acting as a focal point for interaction, bringing together members from government, industry, and academia to strengthen professional relationships and facilitate knowledge sharing
- Sponsoring scientific and educational programs, offering workshops, webinars, and conferences to enhance members’ expertise in research administration.
- Provide a focal point for IARSA members within a Region and serve as the link with the International IARSA community
- Upholding industry or organizational standards, values, and codes of conduct tailored to the specific region.
- Organizing, together with the Tri-National networks chairs, a regional IARSA conference in their region every two years, in between the years IARSA world conferences are organized.
- Organizing localized workshops, seminars, and educational programs to address regional skill gaps and training needs
- Providing platforms for local members, practitioners, and researchers to connect, share experiences, and build partnerships.
- Facilitating easier local access to membership registration, renewals, credentialing, and support at a grassroots level
- Acting as a local voice to address area-specific issues, policy challenges, or regional research priorities.
- Allowing members to vote for regional chapter leaders, run for local office, and contribute directly to regional conferences and initiatives.
- Providing support and advice to National Networks, and coordinate activities across National Networks within regions
- Actively promoting IARSA in the region and increase IARSA membership
Students and professionals are encouraged to join a Regional Chapter for additional presentation, lecture and learning opportunities, including regional awards and grants, as well as the opportunity to meet motivated students and professionals from fields that extend your range of expertise.

Organisations
Membership for Organizations
We are delighted to announce that from January 1, 2026; onwards membership in IARSA also becomes open to organizations. Any organizations that are involved in or have an interest in the conduct, use, publishing or teaching of scientific opinion and attitude surveys, social science research, media or communications research, market research, or related activities can join IARSA as organizational members. Organizations of various types, including private polling companies, public or private universities, governmental research centers, NGOs, or media organizations are welcome to join.
Organizational members at IARSA shall reinforce the efforts of the individual members in advancing public opinion research as a critical force in shaping and transforming societies around the globe. Organizational members at IARSA shall contribute to the Association’s ultimate mission to (a) promote the freedom to conduct and publish opinion polls, (b) promote the knowledge and application of scientific methods and professional standards in public opinion research and (c) to promote international cooperation among academic and commercial researchers, journalists, and political actors, as well as between the representatives of the different scientific disciplines.
Organizational members are required to subscribe to and follow the IARSA Code of Professional Ethics and Practices. Organizational membership does not confer membership on any individuals including the employees of the organization.

Membership fees
